The linguistics aspects of translation on the light of the theoretical approach of Roman Jakobson versus the translation field of corpus linguistics

This work aims to present the linguistics aspects of translation, according to the view of Roman Jakobson (1995), and establishes possible relations, by means of the theoretical contribution, for the work methodology of Corpus Linguistics, under the field of translation. It still treats about tools of the WordSmith Tools 3.0 and its applicability in the verification and analysis of Universals of Translation, according to Baker (1993). It is a strictly bibliographic work that investigates and establishes relations between theoretical methodological aspects, by means of its object of study, that is, the language under the focus of the interlingual translation, presenting as a result the Corpus Linguistics as a new methodology of investigation in language. This puts at disposal of the analyst quantities of data previously inaccessible for research, analysis and examination of language in use, in mother and foreign language, from theoretical approaches, such as Jakobson (1995), Baker (1993), Tagnin (2002, 2004) and Berber Sardinha (2003, 2004).
