Resumo: The objective of this work is to investigate the question of discourse in schools, relying on theories of Discourse Analysis and on Bakhtinian studies, which present divergent conceptions of subject, as well as on the indiciary paradigm methodology. The object of study is the field diary of a student teacher of Brazilian Literature who developed his trainment in a public school in Bagé (RS). The results point both to the presence of non-subjectivity and active subjectivation in the discourses analyzed. We thus recognize that contradiction is constitutive of the focused discourse, that is, teachers and students position themselves in both discursive spaces, sometimes echoing the institutional discourse, sometimes challenging it

Orientamo-nos para as teorias da Análise de discurso e dos estudos bakhtinianos, com suas concepções de sujeito diferentes; e no paradigma indiciário como metodologia. O objeto de estudos é o diário de campo de um estagiário em Literatura Brasileira em uma escola estadual da cidade de Bagé (RS). Os resultados apontam para o assujeitamento, assim como, para um sujeito ativo nos discursos analisados.
