IMPACT OF PANDEMIC COVID-19 ON EDUCATION: REFLECTIONS ON THE LIFE OF FAMILIES

Resumo: The objective of this article was to understand the impacts of the pandemic COVID-19 on education, from the perspective of families whose children are in Elementary School I of the Private Education Network of Belo Horizonte, which started offering their classes remotely. The methodology was descriptive with a qualitative approach. As for the means of investigation, this study is characterized as a Survey. The results show that social isolation and remote education offered families the opportunity to recover their educational role. Parents are working hard, to the point of being exhausted, to help their children academically and maintain the whole routine of the house, combining domestic tasks with formal work or home office. It was also noticed that, although some students are well with this situation, most of them are having difficulty studying at a distance, they are anxious, sad and unmotivated. They miss school, friends and teachers.

They miss school, friends and teachers.El objetivo de este artículo fue comprender los impactos de la pandemia COVID-19 en la educación, desde la perspectiva de las familias cuyos hijos están en la Escuela Primaria I de la Red de Educación Privada de Belo Horizonte, que comenzó a ofrecer sus clases de forma remota. La metodología fue descriptiva con un enfoque cualitativo. En cuanto a los medios de investigación, este estudio se caracteriza por ser una Encuesta. Los resultados muestran que el aislamiento social y la educación remota ofrecieron a las familias la oportunidad de recuperar su papel educativo. Los padres están trabajando duro, hasta el punto de estar exhaustos, para ayudar a sus hijos académicamente y mantener toda la rutina de la casa, combinando las tareas domésticas con el trabajo formal o la oficina en casa home office. También se notó que, aunque algunos estudiantes están bien con esta situación, la mayoría tiene dificultades para estudiar a distancia, están ansiosos, tristes y desmotivados. Extrañan la escuela, los amigos y los maestros.O objetivo deste artigo foi compreender os impactos da pandemia COVID-19 na educação, sob a perspectiva das famílias cujos filhos estão no Ensino Fundamental I da Rede de Ensino Privada de Belo Horizonte, a qual passou a ofertar suas aulas remotamente. A metodologia foi descritiva com abordagem qualitativa. Quanto aos meios de investigação, este estudo se caracteriza como Survey. Os resultados mostram que o isolamento social e o ensino remoto ofereceram  às famílias a oportunidade de resgatar seu papel educativo. Os pais estão se empenhado muito, a ponto de ficarem exaustos, para ajudar academicamente seus filhos e manter toda a rotina da casa, conciliando as tarefas domésticas com o trabalho formal ou home office. Também percebeu-se que, embora alguns alunos estejam bem com essa situação, a maioria está tendo dificuldade em estudar a distância, estão ansiosos, triste e desmotivados.
