Resumo: ABSTRACT: This article proposes to reveal the perception of dance in Early Childhood Education from the perspective of the teacher, the child and family members and when revisiting in their memory and in personal documents generated from the action research in the year 2013 clues that show the importance of dance in education as a necessary training for children. We sought to dialogue with authors like Brinkman (1975); Laban (1978); Rengel (2005); Marques (2012); Ferraz and Fusari (1999); Gouvêa (2007); the documents, BNCC (2018); RCNEI (1999); CCEI (2012) and with concepts such as: dance / context; dance language; body; educational practice. This article is relevant for portraying the perception of this professional in relation to dance and for placing young children as a central point in the act of teaching and learning and for proposing practical and theoretical subsidies for reflections by educators who appreciate the art of dance.   KEYWORDS: Child Education, dance.

Buscou-se dialogar com autores como Brinkman (1975); Laban (1978); Rengel (2005); Marques (2012); Ferraz e Fusari (1999); Gouvêa (2007); os documentos, BNCC(2018); RCNEI (1999); CCEI (2012) e com conceitos como: dança/ contexto; dança linguagem; corpo; prática educativa.
