Resumo: The present work deals with a research developed on the use of play games as a teaching / learning instrument of mathematics in elementary education II, understanding that the development of a dynamic and interactive practice is fundamental for meaningful learning and, at the same time, the student gets closer to the discipline. Qualitative bibliographical review is used as method, developing the work from the bibliographic exploration of books and scientific publications that approaches the subject or is related to it, in trustworthy sites in order to maintain the originality and magnification of the quality of the study developed. With the objective of recognizing the importance of the use of play games and their influence on teaching / learning of mathematics in elementary education II. Mathematical discipline is always seen by several students as a difficult and challenging discipline, so it is possible to perceive in playful games the possibility of facilitating mathematical learning, and at the same time, instigating students' liking for this discipline, and with that, the increase of their school performance.

Utiliza-se como método a revisão bibliográfica qualitativa, desenvolvendo o trabalho a partir da exploração bibliográfica de livros e publicações científicas que aborda a temática ou está relacionada à ela, em sites fidedignos a fim de manter a originalidade e ampliação da qualidade do estudo desenvolvido. Com o objetivo de reconhecer a importância da utilização dos jogos lúdicos e sua influência no ensino/aprendizagem da matemática no ensino fundamental II.
