Resumo: | This is an exploratory study with a qualitative approach, which aims to analyze, through individual and collective memories of people with disabilities (PcD), how their insertion process in basic education took place, as well as the main difficulties and the challenges were faced and overcome by them throughout their school career. As a technique for data collection, the interview was used from the perspective of thematic oral history, in which the questions asked to the interviewees were related to their academic-academic trajectory, from basic education to higher education. It presents concepts and historically contextualizes the right to education of people with disabilities in Brazil. Despite all the remaining difficulties and challenges, it was concluded that the process of inclusive education has advanced in terms of access to education in the country, both in basic and higher education, and that information has a very important role in this inclusion process. |

Como técnica de recolección de datos, se utilizó la entrevista, desde la perspectiva de la historia oral temática, en la que las preguntas formuladas a los entrevistados estaban relacionadas con su trayectoria escolar-académica, desde la educación básica hasta la educación superior. Presenta conceptos y contextualiza históricamente el derecho a la educación de las personas con discapacidad en Brasil. Se concluyó que, a pesar de todas las dificultades y desafíos que aún existen, el proceso de educación inclusiva ha avanzado en términos de acceso a la educación en el país, tanto en la educación básica como en la educación superior, y que la información juega un papel muy importante en este proceso de inclusión.Trabalho de cunho exploratório com abordagem qualitativa, que tem como objetivo analisar, através de memórias individuais e coletivas de pessoas com deficiência (PcD), como se deu o seu processo de inserção na educação básica, bem como as principais dificuldades enfrentadas e desafios superados por estes ao longo de sua trajetória escolar. Como técnica para coleta dos dados, foi utilizada a entrevista, na perspectiva da História oral temática, em que as perguntas feitas aos entrevistados eram relacionadas à sua trajetória escolar-acadêmica, desde a educação básica ao ensino superior. Apresenta conceitos e contextualiza historicamente o direito à educação da pessoa com deficiência no Brasil.
