Research on early childhood education in Piauí: trajectories and perspectives

Resumo: The article as an objective of analysis on Early Childhood Education-respect in the scope of the Federal Postgraduate Research Program of Piauí (UFPI) of the knowledge produced in the area. An analysis of theses and dissertations focused on the works published in the last four years between 2016 and 2020. A review covered studies published in the graduate courses of the aforementioned university, as it is a main reference in the State as a public teaching institution that relates to the university teacher training and research in the area. The survey showed that during the period covered there were master's initiatives and 5 doctoral theses on the subject. The studies highlight some problems that characterize early childhood education policies and practices in Piaui, among which the following stand out: prevalence of traditional conceptions, lack of working conditions, inadequacies of teacher training policies, continuing education predominantly based on technical rationality and formative profile of part of the investigated teachers. The study concludes on Early Childhood Education, there is no study context research for the development of conditions for the development of teaching practices and teachers of Early Childhood Education. To conclude, too, that greater dissemination of the results is necessary to enhance the reflection of social and educational criticisms of the population served in day care centers and preschools, which is essential for the construction of theoretical-practical bases for education in Piauí.

Un análisis de tesis y disertaciones se centró en los trabajos publicados en los últimos cuatro años entre 2016 y 2020. Una revisión abarcó estudios publicados en los cursos de posgrado de la citada universidad, por ser un referente principal en el Estado como institución pública de enseñanza que se relaciona con la formación del profesorado universitario y la investigación en el área. La encuesta mostró que durante el período cubierto hubo iniciativas de maestría y 05 tesis doctorales sobre el tema. Los estudios destacan algunos problemas que caracterizan las políticas y prácticas de educación inicial en Piauí, entre los que se destacan: predominio de concepciones tradicionales, falta de condiciones de trabajo, insuficiencias de las políticas de formación docente, educación continua predominantemente basada en la racionalidad técnica y perfil formativo de parte de los docentes investigados. El estudio concluye sobre la Educación Infantil, no existe un contexto de estudio investigativo para el desarrollo de condiciones para el desarrollo de las prácticas docentes y docentes de Educación Infantil. Para concluir, existe la necesidad de una mayor difusión de los resultados para potenciar el reflejo de las necesidades sociales y educativas de la población atendida en las guarderías y preescolares, lo que es necesario para la construcción de bases teórico-prácticas para la educación de los niños.Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar pesquisas sobre Educação Infantil produzidas no âmbito do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal do Piauí (PPGEd/UFPI), por meio de teses e dissertações, com vistas à elaboração de uma síntese analítica a respeito do conhecimento produzido na área. A análise abrangeu os trabalhos publicados no período de 2016 a 2020. A revisão cobriu estudos produzidos no PPGEd/UFPI por ser esta a principal referência no Estado como instituição pública de ensino no que tange à formação de professores e à pesquisa na área. O levantamento evidenciou a produção de 12 (doze) dissertações e 5(cinco) teses sobre a temática pesquisada. Os estudos destacam algumas problemáticas que caracterizam as políticas e práticas de Educação Infantil no Piauí, entre as quais se destacam: prevalência de concepções tradicionais, falta de condições de trabalho, inadequações das políticas de formação de professores, formação continuada predominantemente baseada na racionalidade técnica e perfil formativo de parte dos professores investigados.
