Resumo: This article is grounded on the critic social theory, and analyzes the content presented in the Brazilian National Plans of Education (2001-2010 and 2014-2024) and the Education Development Plan (2007) regarding the relationship between education and work. Documentary research aimed to identify the political perspectives that establish this relationship in a context of crisis of capitalism and regression of rights around the world and, particularly, in Brazil. The results show that updating and strengthening education is essential to prepare the workforce in line with the new needs of the sphere of production, a relation that is often disguised by the discourse and defense of citizenship, law, and humanistic values.

Revista KatálysisRevista KatálysisRevista Katálysis2019-11-08info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/article/view/1982-02592019v22n3p47910.1590/1982-02592019v22n3p479Revista Katálysis; Vol. 22 No. 3 (2019): Direito à educação pública, democracia e lutas sociais; 479-490Revista Katálysis; Vol. 22 Núm. 3 (2019): Direito à educação pública, democracia e lutas sociais; 479-490Revista Katálysis; v. 22 n. 3 (2019): Direito à educação pública, democracia e lutas sociais; 479-4901982-02591414-4980reponame:Revista Katálysis (Online)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)instacron:UFSCporenghttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/article/view/1982-02592019v22n3p479/41148https://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/article/view/1982-02592019v22n3p479/41139Copyright (c) 2020 Jaime Hillesheim, Adir Valdemar Garciainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessHillesheim, JaimeGarcia, Adir Valdemar2019-11-19T09:45:43Zoai:periodicos.ufsc.br:article/61195Revistahttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/indexPUBhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/oairevistakatalysis@gmail.com || kataly@cse.ufsc.br || revistakatalysis@hotmail.com1982-02591414-4980opendoar:2019-11-19T09:45:43Revista Katálysis (Online) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)false
