Digital technology issues for history teachers’ training in the Amazonian context

Resumo: | This paper reflects on training possibilities for undergraduate students, considering different uses of digital information and communication technologies (DICTs), and brings into discussion the work of history teachers in singular contexts of the Amazon region. Its starting point is a theoretical literature review on DICTs and their involvement in the social history of the Xingu region in the Amazon, in order to answer the question: How may the demands of current scientific and technological innovation trends be met in the context of TDICs aimed at teachers’ training? As a result of this examination, we reached the understanding that technologies are the result of the evolutionary process of society, and their application covers aspects of development in many sectors linked to the improvement of the population’s quality of life. Thus, education is the field in which such technologies can be propagated, with the resulting need to invest in teachers’ training in this branch of knowledge. |

Foi pautado em revisão bibliográfica que aborda discussões sobre tecnologias digitais da informação e da comunicação e seu envolvimento com a história social da Amazônia, região do Xingu, a fim de responder à questão: Como atender as demandas das tendências de inovação científica e tecnológica no contexto das Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação (TDICs), na formação de professores? Como resultado, chegamos ao entendimento de que as tecnologias são consequências do processo de evolução da sociedade e que sua aplicação abrange aspectos do desenvolvimento em diversos setores, estando ligado à melhoria da qualidade de vida da população.
