Resumo: | This study proposes the Accessible Audiovisual Translation (TAVa) in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) of the inauguration speech of former president Barack Obama under the functionalist bias (NORD, 2016), and its analysis aims to understand the translation procedures proposed by Baker (1996). The methodology followed technical procedures in Audiovisual Translation, taking into account rhetorical segmentation as a parameter for comfortable reception. As Nord (2016) affirms, the results suggested that translation choices are determined by the culture and situation of the recipient of the target text, and in an audiovisual production they are also influenced by the harmonization of rhetorical segmentation. |
