Novas formas de brincar respeitando a natureza: um trabalho de reciclagem na educação infantil

This article is referring to a monograph titled NEW WAYS TO PLAY RESPECTING NATURE: recycling work in early childhood education, environmental education course at the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, presented on July 29, 2011. This work was conducted with students at the Escola Municipal de Educação Infantil Gente Miúda , aims to enable the students to knowledge, sense of values, active interest and attitudes needed to respect, protect and improve the environment, alerting on the problem of the large production of waste and the need for conscious consumption. As methodological strategies, moments of conversation, exploitation films, stories, songs and activities addressed were used. As a way to record, recycling materials and making toys and musical instruments, experiments with waste, and brochure designs, emphasizing the importance of recycling such waste were developed. Data analysis agrees with the theoretical framework, confirming the idea that the child learns through play activities and expands their knowledge through interaction and socialization mediated by the intervention of the educator, it offers subsidies for students to analyze and to contribut for the conservation of the environment. Environmental Education in Early Childhood Education contributes to the construction of new visions and attitudes towards nature, others and themself.
