Resumo: ABSTRACT. The aim of this essay is to present the dynamics and results achieved through the youth and adults schooling project – final years of elementary school (phase II) –in areas of agrarian reform of the State of Parana. We sought to describe the essence of the project in order to highlight the importance of educational actions focused on attending to latent social demands in the history of Brazilian education. As a methodology, we used documentary analysis, based on the scope of the project and the relevant legislations, with the specialized bibliography to reach the presentation of the results obtained with the development of the course. As a result, we have the remarkable presence of the difficulties of the EJA modality, in addition to the reality of rural communities, mainly linked to social movements, but in the contradictory process, the demand for education is highlighted in the number of enrollments and evidenced in the relationship of seniors, revealing a reality still present in our country.

El objetivo de este ensayo es presentar las dinámicas y resultados obtenidos a través del proyecto de educación para jóvenes y adultos – los últimos años de la escuela primaria (Fase II) – en áreas de reforma agraria del Estado de Paraná. Buscamos describir la esencia del proyecto con el fin de destacar la importancia de las acciones educativas enfocadas en la atención a las demandas sociales latentes en la historia de la educación brasileña. Como metodología, utilizamos el análisis documental, sobre la base del alcance del proyecto y de las legislaciones pertinentes, con la bibliografía especializada para llegar a la presentación de los resultados obtenidos con el desarrollo del curso. Como resultado, tenemos la notable presencia de las dificultades de la modalidad EJA, junto con la realidad de las comunidades rurales, principalmente vinculada a movimientos sociales, pero en el proceso contradictorio, la demanda de educación se destaca en el número de inscripciones y se evidencia en la lista de graduados, revelando una realidad todavía presente en nuestro país.ABSTRACT. Buscou-se descrever a essência do Projeto de forma a evidenciar a importância de ações educativas focalizadas no atendimento a demandas sociais latentes na história da educação brasileira. Como metodologia utilizamos a análise documental, partindo do escopo do Projeto e das legislações pertinentes, cotejando com a bibliografia especializada para chegarmos a apresentação dos resultados obtidos com o desenvolvimento do curso. Como consequência, temos a presença marcante das dificuldades da modalidade de EJA, somadas à realidade das comunidades rurais, principalmente ligadas aos movimentos sociais, mas que no contraditório do processo, a demanda por educação é destaque no número de matrículas e evidenciada na relação de concluintes, descortinando uma realidade ainda presente em nosso país.
