THE EDUCATION FOR COMPETITIVENESS: the portrait of the pedagogical proposal on private schools’ communication in Santa Maria/RS

Resumo: The formal education has fundamental role in formation of a person. As principal educational agent, the schools, private mainly, prepare a pedagogical proposal that fits their goals, which many times direct to a recurrent competitiveness to atract students. In this context, this article discusses the relation between the pedagogical proposal and private schools’ communication in Santa Maria, RS, pointing evidences of competitiveness. The research resorts to interviews with private schools' responsible people in the city and analysis of communication materials. From the approximation with the perspective of Fiorin’s (2014) discursive analysis, looking for identify the semantic devices present in interviews’ discourse and communication of schools, which refers to competitiveness.   KEYWORDS: Communication; Private schools; Pedagogical proposal; Competitiveness.

En este contexto, este artículo analiza la relación entre la propuesta pedagógica y la comunicación de las escuelas privadas en Santa Maria / RS, señalando evidencias de la competitividad. La investigación se basa en entrevistas con representantes de las escuelas privadas en la ciudad y análisis de materiales de comunicación. Desde el enfoque de la perspectiva del análisis del discurso, basado en Fiorin (2014), trata de identificar los dispositivos semánticos presentes en el discurso de las escuelas, tanto en las entrevistas y en los materiales de comunicación, que se refieren a la competitividad.   PALABRAS CLAVE: Comunicación; Escuelas privadas; Propuesta pedagógica; Competitividad.A educação formal tem papel fundamental na formação do indivíduo. Na condição de principal agente educativo, as escolas, principalmente as privadas, elaboram uma proposta pedagógica que se enquadre aos seus objetivos, o que direciona, muitas vezes, a uma recorrência à competitividade para atrair alunos.  Neste contexto, este artigo discute a relação entre a proposta pedagógica e a comunicação das escolas privadas de Santa Maria/RS, apontando evidências de competitividade. A pesquisa recorre a entrevistas com responsáveis por escolas privadas da cidade e análise de materiais de comunicação. A partir da aproximação com a perspectiva da análise discursiva de Fiorin (2014), busca-se identificar os dispositivos semânticos, presentes no discurso das entrevistas e da comunicação das escolas, que se referem à competitividade.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Comunicação; Escolas privadas; Proposta pedagógica; Competitividade.     ABSTRACT The formal education has fundamental role in formation of a person.
