AN EXPERIENCE IN THE PEDAGOGICAL RESIDENCE OF GEOGRAPHY AT FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF PIAUÍ, BRAZIL: USE OF GAMES AND SIGNIFICANT LEARNING

Resumo: This paper is a result of a didactic sequence carried out within the scope of the Pedagogical Residence of Geography at Federal University of Piauí. It aimed to analyze how games can be used as a didactic resource in Geography teaching, especially the Bingo which aims the promotion of meaningful learning. This paper has been done through a bibliographical survey which has been made by the use of games in the classroom and its relationship with the theory of meaningful learning. Some aspects were also recorded about the experience carried out in a high school class, in which it was necessary to teach classes on international and geopolitical conflicts in the world, and subsequently the use of the Bingo game, of which we made use of the topics covered in expository-dialogued classes. The results of the classes, the game elaboration and its application were of a reciprocal learning (for us residents, students of the school, preceptor and guiding teacher), it provided a learning based on previous knowledge, in which the anchoring occurred new knowledge and the revision of the subjects already studied in the classroom.

Tem por objetivo analisar como os jogos podem ser utilizados como um recurso didático no ensino de Geografia, em especial o jogo do bingo, e na promoção de uma aprendizagem significativa. Para a realização deste artigo foi feito um levantamento bibliográfico sobre o uso de jogos em sala de aula e a sua relação com a teoria da aprendizagem significativa. Também foram registrados alguns aspectos sobre a experiência realizada em uma turma de ensino médio, em que foi necessária a ministração de aulas sobre os conflitos internacionais e geopolíticos no mundo, e na sequência a utilização do jogo do bingo, que fez uso dos temas abordados em aulas expositivo-dialogadas.
