Resumo: | Although education can be liberating, it is often still imprisoning. This characteristic reflects the alienating and depoliticizing function of legal education as an informal instrument of racial domination committed to the maintenance of white supremacy. Structured on narcissistic equality, Criminal Law is the very expression of racism, either as a punitive instrument – mainly through the “war on drugs”, through which the State legitimizes violence that results in racial selectivity and genocide – or as a discipline in which whiteness reproduces colonial lessons. Radical racial issues in Brazil must integrate the teaching of criminal law, opening paths for an anti-racist legal education and for the construction of a racial justice system, otherwise, we will reinforce a teaching model that guarantees the maintenance and protection of white supremacy and its necropolitical democracy. |

Essa característica reflete a função alienante e despolitizante de um ensino jurídico enquanto instrumento informal de dominação racial comprometido com a manutenção da supremacia branca. Estruturado sobre uma igualdade narcísica, o Direito Penal é a própria expressão do racismo, seja enquanto instrumento punitivo – principalmente através da “guerra às drogas”, pela qual o Estado legitima a violência que resulta em seletividade racial e genocídio –, seja enquanto disciplina na qual a branquitude reproduz lições coloniais.
