Physical Education and Language: some initial considerations.

Resumo: | The National Currricular Parameters (PCNs) to High School classified Physical Education into Languages, codes and its technologies area, with the school discipline of Portuguese, Modern Foreign Language, Computing and Arts. However, PCNs' text doesn't describe a deep study of the possibilities of Physical Education as a language area. Then, the purpose of present study was to investigate these possibilities; searched through of wide revision of literature and interview with teachers of the area to understand the display of these investigations in the High School Physical Education. It was concluded that the Physical Education can and must be considerated as a language. Treating the Physical Education as a language is a theme of an enourmous complexity, but possibilities and metodologies can be indicated. |

Treating the Physical Education as a language is a theme of an enourmous complexity, but possibilities and metodologies can be indicated.Os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs) para o Ensino Médio classificaram a Educação Física na área de Linguagens, Códigos e suas Tecnologias, juntamente com as disciplinas de Língua Portuguesa, Língua Estrangeira Moderna, Informática e Arte. Porém, o texto dos PCNs não trata, de modo aprofundado, das possibilidades da Educação Física enquanto linguagem. Assim, o objetivo do presente estudo foi o de investigar as possibilidades da Educação Física enquanto linguagem. Buscou-se através de ampla Revisão de Literatura e entrevistas com professores da área compreender os desdobramentos desta investigação no campo da Educação Física no Ensino Médio. Concluiu-se que a Educação Física deve e pode ser considerada uma linguagem.
