Use of social networks as a pedagogical tool in Basic Education: an experience report

Resumo: The use of social networks in education was reinforced by the particularity of the context created by the COVID-19 pandemic, and these tools contribute to the engagement and interaction of students, as well as facilitating communication between teacher and student. From this perspective, this work aims to report the experience of using social networks as pedagogical tools; present the advantages and difficulties of working with social networks in basic education and point out social networks as a space for communication, interaction and training. With this in mind, a brief review of the theme was carried out first, followed by a discussion of an experience report on the use of social networks in an educational path. It is concluded that social networks proved to be an important didactic and pedagogical resource in basic education, constituting a space for interdisciplinary training and skills development.

Desde esta perspectiva, este trabajo tiene como objetivo reportar la experiencia de utilizar las redes sociales como herramientas pedagógicas; presentar las ventajas y dificultades de trabajar con las redes sociales en la educación básica y señalar las redes sociales como un espacio de comunicación, interacción y formación. Con esto en mente, primero se realizó una breve revisión del tema, seguida de una discusión de un relato de experiencia sobre el uso de las redes sociales en un camino educativo. Se concluye que las redes sociales demostraron ser un importante recurso didáctico y pedagógico en la educación básica, constituyendo un espacio de formación interdisciplinar y desarrollo de habilidades.O uso das redes sociais na educação foi reforçado pela particularidade do contexto criado pela pandemia do COVID-19, e essas ferramentas contribuem para o engajamento e interação dos discentes, como também facilitam a comunicação entre professor e aluno. Partindo dessa perspectiva é que esse trabalho tem como objetivo relatar a experiência de usar as redes sociais como ferramentas pedagógicas; apresentar as vantagens e dificuldades de trabalhar com redes sociais na educação básica e apontar as redes sociais como espaço de comunicação, interação e formação. Nesse intuito, foi feito primeiramente uma breve revisão da temática e posteriormente a discussão de um relato de experiência sobre o uso das redes sociais em uma trilha educacional.
