Education as right: the construction of deaf people place in Brazilian education

Resumo: | The insertion of the deaf people in the Brazilian educational system took place through a slow, gradual process, full of setbacks, in such a way that even though it has always existed, the recognition of the deaf and their rights, as well as people with disabilities in general, is essential, a recent achievement. In this way, this essay aims to trace the process of construction of the space for the deaf in Brazilian education, based on an international and national historical overview, placing the contribution of important names responsible for the creation of institutions and the law of the deaf community in the country. Therefore, the methodology adopted was a bibliographic review, in addition to the analysis containing a nature of the investigation, it presents itself as exploratory research. With that, we were able to conclude that despite the historical setbacks and progress in the achievements of the law until of the current legislation and existing institutions, they guarantee law to education for the deaf community. However, the challenges don't stop there, since the complexity of social relationships is also embedded in the multiple varieties of disabilities that sometimes relate to the deaf people. |

De esta manera, este ensayo tiene como objetivo rastrear el proceso de construcción del espacio para sordos en la educación brasileña, a partir de un recorrido histórico nacional e internacional, colocando la contribución de importantes nombres responsables por la creación de instituciones y los bienes jurídicos de la comunidad sorda en el país. Por lo tanto, la metodología adoptada fue una revisión bibliográfica, además del análisis que contiene una naturaleza de la investigación, se presenta como una investigación exploratoria. Con esto, pudimos concluir que a pesar de los retrocesos históricos y avances en los logros de los derechos hasta la legislación vigente y las instituciones existentes, garantizan los derechos a la educación de la comunidad sorda. Sin embargo, los desafíos no terminan ahí, ya que la complejidad de las relaciones sociales también está incrustada en las múltiples variedades de discapacidades que a veces se relacionan con la persona sorda.A inserção do surdo no sistema educacional brasileiro se deu através de um processo lento, gradual e cheio de contratempos, de tal modo que mesmo existindo desde sempre, o reconhecimento dos surdos e seus direitos, assim como das pessoas com deficiência de modo geral, é uma conquista recente. Desse modo, neste ensaio objetiva-se realizar o percurso do processo de construção do espaço dos surdos na educação brasileira, a partir de um apanhado histórico internacional e nacional, situando a contribuição de importantes nomes responsáveis pela criação de instituições e dos direitos legais da comunidade surda no país. Para tanto, a metodologia adotada foi de revisão bibliográfica, além da análise conter uma natureza da investigação, se apresenta como pesquisa exploratória. Com isso, pudemos concluir que apesar dos históricos retrocessos e progressos nas conquistas dos direitos até a legislação vigente e as instituições existentes, garantem direitos à educação para comunidade surda.
