Feeding and nutrition approaches in Elementary School subjects: a systematic literature review

Resumo: | Food is fundamental in the life of the human, and the adoption of healthy eating habits is determinant for their quality of life. Food and nutrition education is inserted in the transversal theme Health of the National Curricular Parameters, being common in Elementary School activities related to the subject in the discipline of Sciences. However, because it’s na easy approach because it’s part of everyone’s daily life, it could and should be worked on in other disciplines as well. Faced with this reality, the following question arises: How have Food and Nutrition been approached in Elementary School, except in the discipline of Science? Thus, the present systematic review aims to analyze the productions in Portuguese that approach the subject in the other disciplines, published in the Portal of Periodical of CAPES, the Bank of Theses and Dissertations of CAPES and in journals of the área of Education with qualis restricted (A1, A2 and B1). The results shows little use of the subject, of 3.845 papers, only nine were related to this theme, being present mainly in interdisciplinary projects. It’s suggested that the teachers of the different disciplines of Middle School insert nutrition education activities in their classes, since their approach in the school context is of great relevance for the promotion of healthy eating from the first years of life. |

La Educación Alimentaria y Nutricional está inserta en el tema transversal Salud de los Parámetros Curriculares Nacionales, siendo común encontrar en la Enseñanza Fundamental actividades relacionadas al tema en la disciplina de Ciencias. Pero, por ser un tema de fácil enfoque por formar parte de lo cotidiano de todos, podría y debería ser trabajado en las demás disciplinas también. Frente a esta realidad, surge la siguiente pregunta: ¿cómo la Food and Nutrition se ha abordado en la escuela primaria, excepto en la disciplina de Ciencias Por lo tanto, esta revisión sistemática es analizar las producciones en portugués que abordan el tema de en el Banco de Tesis y Disertaciones de la CAPES y en revistas del área de Enseñanza con cuales restringido (A1, A2 y B1). Los resultados demuestran poca utilización de la temática, de 3.845 trabajos, sólo nueve abordaban esa temática, estando presente principalmente en proyectos interdisciplinarios. Se sugiere a los profesores de las diversas disciplinas de la Enseñanza Fundamental que inserta actividades de educación nutricional en sus clases, ya que su abordaje en el contexto escolar es de gran relevancia para la promoción de la alimentación sana desde los primeros años de vida.A alimentação exerce papel fundamental na vida do ser humano, e a adoção de hábitos alimentares saudáveis é determinante para sua qualidade de vida. A Educação Alimentar e Nutricional está inserida no tema transversal Saúde dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais, sendo comum encontrar no Ensino Fundamental atividades relacionadas ao tema na disciplina de Ciências. Porém, por ser um tema de fácil abordagem por fazer parte do cotidiano de todos, poderia e deveria ser trabalhado nas demais disciplinas também. Frente a essa realidade, surge a seguinte questão: de que modo a Alimentação e a Nutrição tem sido abordados no Ensino Fundamental, exceto na disciplina de Ciências?Assim, a presente revisão sistemática tem como objetivo analisar as produções em português que abordam a temática nas demais disciplinas, publicadas no Portal de Periódicos da CAPES, no Banco de Teses e Dissertações da CAPES e em revistas da área de Ensino com qualis restrito (A1, A2 e B1). Os resultados demonstram pouca utilização da temática, de 3.845 trabalhos, somente nove abordavam essa temática, estando presente principalmente em projetos interdisciplinares.
