Resumo:   This article deals with the relation between youthful cultures, groups and schools, having as reference research developed in the period of October of 2002 the September of 2003, in two scenes: the first one, a municipal public school of the city of Belo Horizonte, called Sédna School here; as, the Group of Capoeira M.B, created and co-ordinated for a young living capoeirista of the quarter where the school if locates. The objective was to observe, to describe and to interpret experiences of young students in the two scenes and, thus, to understand the diverse cultural expressions gifts in the daily pertaining to school and the ways as the School, through its educators and of its politician-pedagogical projects, with them if they relate. The proposal metodológica adopted was of the Study of Case the description-antropológico, of etnográfica boarding, in the perspective of Cultural History or historical Anthropology.

The proposal metodológica adopted was of the Study of Case the description-antropológico, of etnográfica boarding, in the perspective of Cultural History or historical Anthropology.   Este artigo trata da relação entre culturas, grupos juvenis e escolas, tendo como referência pesquisa desenvolvida no período de outubro de 2002 a setembro de 2003, em dois cenários: o primeiro, uma escola pública municipal da cidade de Belo Horizonte, aqui denominada Escola Sédna; o segundo, o Grupo de Capoeira M.B, criado e coordenado por um jovem capoeirista morador do bairro onde a escola se localiza. O objetivo foi observar, descrever e interpretar vivências de jovens estudantes nos dois cenários e, assim, compreender as diversas expressões culturais presentes no cotidiano escolar e os modos como a Escola, através de seus educadores e de seus projetos político-pedagógicos, com elas se relacionam. A proposta metodológica adotada foi a do Estudo de Caso histórico-antropológico, de abordagem etnográfica, na perspectiva da História Cultural ou Antropologia histórica.
